Tiny House with Hammock Loft

This home is the cross between a tiny house on wheels and a kid’s dream fort! The entire open area between the two sleeping lofts of this tiny home is filled with a giant hammock providing an amazing place to relax while adding a tonne of usable space in the home!

This 24 × 8.5 ft (7.3 × 2.5m) tiny house is the brain-child of Whit and Cody, two dynamic friends who have called this project ‘Smore Life.’ The smore reference comes from the Shou Sugi Ban technique of charring the cedar to help seal and protect it, which reminded the friends of cooking smores over the campfire…

Tiny House for Family with Separate Office and Kids' Bedroom

For a lot of people with young children, the idea of living in a tiny house would be a complete deal-breaker. Thanks to some clever design though, this family is living the tiny house dream is a comfortable, non-toxic, eco-friendly 30 ft. tiny house on wheels that even has space for a separate kids’ room and private home office.

This family has found a fantastic parking spot which the house can now call home. Settling in for the long haul, the tires have been removed from the house and they are currently getting ready to be stored. The home’s exterior is entirely cedar. Builder, Ben Garratt, of Tiny Healthy Homes has also included a painted bellyband around the home, which allows for all the services to be neatly placed along and which also provides a good attachment point for awnings to be added in the future, as they have been on this home.

Beautiful Tiny House on Wheels

This tiny house is a true head-turner. Made from natural, eco-friendly materials and built by Tofino couple Alan and Venita entirely as a DIY project, this impressive home is filled with very clever design elements.

The exterior is clad in a mixture of weatherboards and cedar shingles which give the home a warm cabin aesthetic. Fortunately, the couple were able to find an ideal parking spot for the tiny house which had existing hook-ups for power, water and sewage already in place for RV parking.

As we step inside this home it’s hard not to be impressed by the simple, yet beautiful and functional design. The house feels open and light, while all the timber used brings an undeniable warmth to the space. Wherever possible, this home has used natural, non-toxic materials, including natural oils and finishes and sheep’s wool insulation to keep the tiny house nice and warm in the winter…
